The Colorado Family Project, based at CU's Psychology Department, is currently recruiting families for a study of children at risk for bipolar disorder. Eligible families will have a child (age 9-17) with sadness or mood swings and a biological parent with bipolar disorder. Participants will receive a thorough diagnostic evaluation, family-based therapy, and, only if needed, medication management from a psychiatrist. There is no charge to participate. Are you staying in Boulder this summer? The IPHY department is seeking 18-30 year-old sedentary (---6 months) volunteers for a paid research study on muscle adaptations to exercise. Additional screening questions will be asked upon inquiry. The study will involve leg exercise, three muscle biopsies, four blood samples, strength measurements, and soreness ratings. The study will require ~six hours total, spread across 3 appointments within a month. You will be paid $120 for study completion.
