HEBR/JWST Core Course, Fall 2012

HEBR 2551-3. Secular Jewish Literature, Modern to Contemporary Jews Coming of Age A&S core curriculum: literature and the arts 3:30-6 pm Mondays Studies the literary expression of Jewish writers throughout the world. Gives special attention to questions of secularity versus tradition, identity, cultural change, diaspora and exile. Taught in English.

Student Rec Ctr Renovation and Addition Town Hall

Student Recreation Center Renovation and Addition Town Hall Meeting - Monday, May 14, 3:30-5 pm at HUMN RM 1B50. The town hall meeting will focus on Summer 2012 construction and logistics and will touch on overall project scope.

Classified Staff 2012-2013 Performance Evaluations and Plans

The 2012-2013 Performance Management planning period has begun. Supervisors must complete a performance plan for all classified staff, including retirees and 1% on-call employees, in regular (non-temporary) positions. The current performance cycle began April 1, 2012 and ends March 31, 2013. A COPY of the front page of the plan with all required signatures must be forwarded to Office of Labor Relations by campus mail to 565 UCB, or by fax at 5-3236, by June 1, 2012.

Celebrate Colorado Electric Vehicle Day

See the latest in electric vehicle technology - charging systems, cars, motorcycles and bikes - showcased in the Wolf Law Building west parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 17. A screening of the documentary "Revenge of the Electric Vehicle" follows 6-8:30 p.m. in the Visual Arts Complex, room 1B20. Both events, including refreshments and door prizes, are free and open to the public.

Dictator College Bus Tour Hits Boulder

Program Council wants you to experience the touring life of General Aladeen, the Dictator of Wadiya, on Monday, May 14 between Norlin and Sewell Field from 12-4 pm on his bus straight from the Sonoran Desert. Taste Wadiyan delicacies like camel toe pate (hummus) and meet the General's virgin guards. Just kidding, it's just the latest Sacha Baron Cohen character, appearing in The Dictator, out in theaters May 16. Come check it out!

Desire2Learn Will Be Only Online Learning Environment this Fall

Desire2Learn (D2L) will replace CULearn starting with the fall 2012 semester. Both online learning environments will continue to run in parallel through the summer terms, but CULearn will not be available after Aug. 31. Desire2Learn provides new and enhanced functionality with a flexible, modern and user-friendly interface. More information about D2L is available online at http://oit.colorado.edu/d2l.
