Online Summer Term-based Courses Beginning June 4, Many Options Available

Independent Learning offers online term-based courses in ATOC, COMM, ENGL, FILM, GEOL, HIST, IPHY, JOUR, MATH, MUEL, PHIL, PSCI, and SOCY. Many fulfill A&S core requirement. Courses include ENGL 4245: American Novel 2, SOCY 2106: Intro to Public Policy Analysis, and SOCY 2044: Crime and Society. Register now. $326/credit hour tuition is separate from main campus tuition. Learn Classical Greek (Non-Credit Course)

The Classics Department and ALTEC at CU Boulder will offer intensive Beginning Classical Greek this summer. This non-credit course will cover first year Greek grammar, from 6/4 to 7/27 (eight weeks, MWF, section 1 at 8-10:30 am or section 2 At 4:30-7pm). Tuition will be $890; deadline for registering with payment will be Wednesday 5/16.

Solar Eclipse on May 20

On Sunday, May 20, the southwestern United States will witness an eclipse of the Sun! The Moon will cover 85-90% of the Sun. Protect your eyes! Get eclipse shades for watching this rare event. Available at Fiske Planetarium and McGuckin Hardware for $2 each. Folsom Stadium will open at 5:45 pm on May 20 for eclipse viewing.

CUConnect Portal to be Retired May 14

CUConnect (cuconnect.colorado.edu), the original CU-Boulder campus portal, will be retired on May 14. As of the end of March, the last of the critical functionality in CUConnect has been transferred to the new campus portal, MyCUInfo (mycuinfo.colorado.edu). MyCUInfo now serves as the CU-Boulder campus's central source for online services and information including registration, online courses, campus news and events, and employee information and training.

HEBR/JWST Core Course, Fall 2012

HEBR 2551-3. Secular Jewish Literature, Modern to Contemporary Jews Coming of Age Core: literature and the arts 3:30-6 pm Mondays Studies the literary expression of Jewish writers throughout the world. Gives special attention to questions of secularity versus tradition, identity, cultural change, diaspora and exile. Taught in English.
