Ocean Health and Modern Fish Farming Film Screenings

Thursday, May 3, 6 p.m. Interested in sustainable seafood and the health of our oceans? Join us for a special screening of two 30-minute documentaries that investigate fish farming. Fish Meat: Choose Your Farm Wisely, which examines modern fish farming off the coast of Turkey, and Farming Our Seas, shot before the BP oil spill, will be shown in Humanities Room 135. Filmmaker Sarah Curry will be there to answer questions after the screening. Seating is limited, so arrive early.

Left Right TIM Improv Fest Next Week Featuring Mission IMPROVable! Free Comedy!

Left Right TIM in association with RHA, Rep Council, and ASSG is proud to announce Improv Fest 2012! Next Thursday, May 3, Left Right TIM will be performing with the nationally acclaimed, Chicago-based improv group, Mission IMPROVable, in an entirely FREE and FUN improv comedy show. The show will be held in Old Main Chapel, doors open at 7:30 pm. Show starts at 8 pm.

French and Italian Summer 2012 Courses

The Department of French and Italian announces it still has openings forits Summer 2012 courses (see the summer catalogue for offerings). One highlight: let's learn to speak Italian in 10 short weeks! We will be offering Beginning Italian 1010 (five credits) in Summer 2012: 12:45-2:05pm, M-F, June 4-Aug. 10.

Volunteers Needed for Physiology Study

Participants needed for a physiology study about the role of inflammation on blood vessel function. We are looking for men and women, 18-30 years old OR 50-79 years old, non-smokers, not taking prescription medications and not doing regular aerobic exercise. Must be available weekday mornings Summer 2012. Compensation and medical screening included.

FNFS: The Vow this Friday in CHEM 140!

Program Council's Friday Night Film Series will be showing its final film for the year, The Vow, on 5/4 at 9 pm in CHEM 140, starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams. When Paige wakes up after being in a coma, her husband, Leo, realizes that she doesn't remember their life together and attempts to make her fall in love with him again. Left Right TIM Graduate Farewell Improv Comedy Show

It's that bittersweet time of the year where we bid our farewells to the graduating members of Left Right TIM in a special end of the year comedy extravaganza. This show will feature LRT's senior members as we laugh them off into the "real world." The show is this Friday, May 4 in Hale 270. Doors open at 7:30 pm, show begins at 8. Tickets are $3. Arrive early!
