CUConnect Portal to be Retired May 14

CUConnect (cuconnect.colorado.edu), the original CU-Boulder campus portal, will be retired on May 14. As of the end of March, the last of the critical functionality in CUConnect has been transferred to the new campus portal, MyCUInfo http://mycuinfo.colorado.edu. MyCUInfo now serves as the CU-Boulder campus's central source for online services and information including registration, online courses, campus news and events, and employee information and training.

Desire2Learn Grade Book Clinics

Desire2Learn Grade Book Clinics May 8, 10, 14; 12-1 p.m. Norlin Commons E113 Academic Technology is offering several drop-in clinics during exam week to assist faculty using Desire2Learn with their semester-end grade book questions. One-on-one consultations will be available. Advance registration is appreciated, but not required.

Memorial service for Charles Wilcox

The family of Charles Wilcox invites his colleagues and friends from CU to attend a memorial service for Charles, who passed away on April 9. Buffs Host NCAA Women's Golf Regional

The University of Colorado is hosting the NCAA West Regional on Thursday-Saturday, May 10-12 at Colorado National Golf Club in Erie! The Regional Championship will feature the #4 Buffs, along with 23 other teams and 6 of the top individual golfers in the country. The tournament is free and open to the general public. Change Your Behavior, Change Your Weight: An Educational Support Group

Facilitator: Janeen Haller-Abernethy, FSAP. Explore behaviors causing being overweight and obese. Find out why crash dieting and temporary weight changes don't work. Topics include motivation and goal setting for long-term weight loss, journaling food intake, mindless and mindful eating, body image, adding activity to support weight loss. Come prepared to learn and apply ways to change behavior in support of sustainable weight loss. The group meets once a week, Thursdays, 12:00p.m.-1:30p.m., starting June 14, 2012 at the UMC.

Solar Eclipse on May 20

On Sunday, May 20, the southwestern United States will witness an eclipse of the Sun! The Moon will cover 85-90% of the Sun. Protect your eyes! Get eclipse shades for watching this rare event. Available at Fiske Planetarium and McGuckin Hardware for $2 each. Folsom Stadium will open at 5:45 PM on May 20 for eclipse viewing.

Learn Classical Greek (Non-Credit Course)

The Classics Department and ALTEC at CU Boulder will offer Intensive Beginning Classical Greek this summer. This non-credit course will cover first year Greek grammar, from 6/4 to 7/27 (eight weeks, MWF, section 1 at 8-10:30 am or section 2 at 4:30-7 pm). Game Theory - Summer Class for Law/Grad Students

CU Cycling off to National Championships Again!

After winning the conference title, the CU Cycling team is again off to the Road Cycling National Championships in Ogden, UT from May 4-6! Follow results at http://www.usacycling.org/events/?state=3DUT. Throughout the year, the team competes in Road, Mountain, Cyclocross and BMX races.
