Enhancing function in later life: FORCE

Seeking 25-35 year old Boulder or Denver area residents and CU students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in a research project. Plan to live in the Boulder/Denver Area for next three months. Compensation: $100 for three meetings. Eligibility: 25-35 years old, NOT regular exercisers. No non-removable metal in body. Italian Film Festival 2015

Come spend an evening in Italy. Enjoy nine recent, critically acclaimed Italian films at the 2015 Italian Film Festival USA of Boulder. All films on the University of Colorado, Boulder campus. The festival opens on Friday, April 10, and runs through May 2. All films are free and open to the public, in Italian with English subtitles. Yoga, Nature Cure and 'Perfect Health': The Purity of the Fluid Body in an Impure World

In this lecture, Joseph Alter, professor of Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh, presents an answer to the question of why the practice of yoga postures and breaking exercises came to be understood within the framework of Nature Cure in modern India. The focus is on the correlation between purification and embodied perfection, and the way in which impurity is understood to be problematic for health, as well as for the development of transcendent consciousness. Our French World - A celebration of French speaking cultures and countries

Our French World - Please join us for a Francophone cultural experience in HUMN 1st floor "living room", Wednesday, April 15, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be free food, live music, games and more. Funded by the Cultural Events Board, the Office for the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Community Development.

Site Leader Applications for 2016 Alternative Breaks

Applications for 2016 Alternative Breaks site leaders are open. Alternative Breaks is a student-led group where students participate in a week-long service trip during spring break or a two-week long service trip in May. Site-leaders participate in nine months of leadership development training and work with AB staff to organize and plan all AB trips. In teams of two, site leaders work to secure trip logistics, provide peer education, participant recruitment, community partner relationships and facilitate meaningful reflections on trips.
