Deadline extended for Friends of the Libraries Undergraduate Fellowship

The deadline for the Friends of the Libraries Fellowship has been extended to Friday, May 15. This fellowship allows an outstanding junior or senior considering a graduate degree in Library and Information Science to work with a University Libraries faculty mentor during the fall 2015 semester. Fellows will be awarded $1,500 for 120 hours of participation in this program. Please email Jennifer Chan at jennifer.chan@colorado.edu to apply.

Graduation reminders

You must have regalia to participate in Commencement. Undergraduates should purchase regalia at the CU Bookstore, graduate students may rent regalia at Balch Fieldhouse. See the commencement Website for details. Please line up in Norlin Quad by 7:45 a.m. for the procession, or come early and enjoy a free breakfast, starting at 7 a.m. CONGRATULATIONS!

What can you do to protect our water quality?

The EPA and Colorado’s Department of Public Health and Environment require every person on the CU-Boulder campus to make sure pollutants do not enter sanitary drains or storm drains. Nominate an outstanding Arts and Sciences teacher

ASSETT wants to recognize Arts and Sciences instructors who use technology in outstanding ways to support student learning. To do this, we need to hear from you. Tell us about instructors who use technology to create an awesome lecture or discussion, or who use technology in interesting ways for assignments or communicating with you outside of class. Caribbean and Atlantic Studies

Please join us for our third lecture on Caribbean and Atlantic studies on Friday, May 1, 5 to 6 p.m. in Humanities 250. Professor Kate Ramsey will give a lecture entitled “Powers of Imagination and Afro-Caribbean Spirit Work in the Eighteenth Century Atlantic World”. This is the third and final event in the Caribbean Lecture Series which is organized by the Departments of English and French and Italian, and was made possible thanks to the generous support of the President’s Fund for the Humanities and Center for Western Civilization.
