FORCE: Enhancing function in later life

Seeking Boulder or Denver area residents and CU students, faculty, staff, and alumni age 65 and older for a research project. Planning to live in the Boulder/Denver Area for next six months. Compensation: $300 for six meetings plus a 16-week supervised exercise program. Eligibility: 65 years old or older, NOT regular exercisers. No non-removable metal in body. Friends of the Libraries Undergraduate Fellowship

University Libraries is offering a Friends of the Libraries Fellowship for fall 2015 to outstanding juniors and seniors. This fellowship allows students considering a graduate degree in Library and Information Science to work with a library faculty mentor during the fall 2015 semester. Fellows will be awarded $1,500 for 120 hours of participation in this program. Applications are due on Thursday, April 30. Leading writer, artist, and lawyer Vanessa Place to offer Maymester course

Topics in Humanities: Interpreting Contemporary Culture, HUMN 3093 Approved for Arts and Sciences core curriculum: literature and the arts. Examines historical, ethical and aesthetic aspects of reading in the 21st century - how we read and how we are read by new technologies. Course texts include literary, historical, and media writings from 1900 to the present. Vanessa Place is a criminal appellate lawyer, artist and author of seven fiction and nonfiction books. Mosaic Gospel Choir concert Sunday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m.

Experience the CU Mosaic Gospel Choir's fall semester-end concert. Spiritual uplift guaranteed. Directed by Gary Grundei, the choir features 26 singers, grand piano, drum kit and funky guitars. The program includes spoken-word slam poetry by choir founder Roger Wolsey. The concert will be held at the Wesley Foundation Student Center/Chapel. Take the Hop or the Buff Bus. Event is free, but donations will be accepted. Potluck following the concert.
