Studying abroad next spring? Get started

Want to study abroad in spring 2016? Summer is the perfect time to get started. Study Abroad is open during the summer; advisors are available to help you find the right program and start an application. App deadlines for spring 2016 range from Sept. 15 to Oct. 1 (varies by program). If you haven’t already, your first step is to complete Study Abroad 101, a 30-minute info session offered online or in person: http://studyabroad.colorado.edu/?go=studyabroad101. Then, contact our office with questions or to open an application.

CU Museum Summer Workshops for Kids open

Come and learn how ancient animals from the very large to the very small left evidence of their lives. Our Archaeology days will show your kids how humans have left their mark, and what we can learn about ancient cultures from the artifacts we find. From dinosaurs and insects to deep sea creatures, our topics are sure to engage your children and make an impression on their summer! Each workshop meets from 9 a.m. - noon on Friday mornings at the CU Museum of Natural History on the CU Campus. Advance registration required.

Give feedback: Underrepresented student lounge area

The UMC is constructing a new student area on the second floor. The architect firm for the project will be holding a focus group to gather feedback on Tuesday, June 23 in the Aspen Rooms from 2-3 p.m. The intent of this space is to provide physical and centralized space for student groups that enhances the CU experience for students from historically underrepresented populations and to provide space for advising staff to support these student groups. We need your feedback on how this space is designed and what it includes.

Student feedback on Center for Student Involvement space

The new Center for Student Involvement (UMC 3rd floor) wants your feedback for the design of this space and your ideas for the collaborative lounge space and student organization resource center. Let us know your thoughts on Tuesday, June 23 in the UMC Aspen Rooms from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. The Center for Student Involvement was created for students and student groups. It will create an engaging and inclusive environment that promotes leadership development, cultural awareness, and community involvement to help students find their place.

Safe Zone workshops for LGBTQ and ally inclusion

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Resource Center will be hosting three trainings this summer on gender and sexual diversity. We address campus climate issues, CU-Boulder-specific LGBTQ policies and services, and strategies for being inclusive in the classroom and workplace. Workshop schedule: Thursday, June 25, 2:30-4:30 p.m., S484 Center for Community; Monday, July 13, 12:30-2:30 p.m., S484 Center for Community; Wednesday, August 12, 1-3 p.m., S484 Center for Community. CUPD Records closed to walk-in traffic June 11

CUPD Records will be closed for half a day to walk-in traffic and public fingerprinting after 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 11. Records requests may still be submitted online via our website. Normal business and fingerprinting hours will resume on Friday, June 12.
