Alferd Packer Grill -- Early closing on June 30

To facilitate our year-end inventory, the Alferd Packer Grill will close at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30. Baby Doe's will remain open for your afternoon snacks and beverages. We will reopen the Grill at 7 a.m. on July 1.

Research project on fathering and marital dissolution

Participants sought for an hour-long interview on fathering and marital dissolution. Interviews can take place face-to-face, over the phone, or via video chat (e.g., Skype). Participants must be at least 18 years of age, be a father going through or who has recently completed the marital dissolution process, has a parenting plan with 180 overnights or fewer, and has taken a coparenting class in the last six months. Participants in this study will receive a $20 Starbucks gift-card. If interested, please contact andrew.b.long@colorado.edu.

Fun Research Projects For Kids

The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children age birth to 10 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about memory and language development. A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 30 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel and kids receive a fun prize. Student Feedback on the New Center for Student Involvement

The new Center for Student Involvement (UMC 3rd floor) wants your feedback for the design of this space and your ideas for the collaborative lounge space and student organization resource center. Let us know your thoughts on Tuesday, June 23 in the UMC Aspen Rooms from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. The Center for Student Involvement was created for students and student groups. It will create an engaging and inclusive environment that promotes leadership development, cultural awareness, and community involvement to help students find their place.

Give Feedback: Underrepresented Student Lounge Area

The UMC is constructing a new student area on the second floor. The architect firm for the project will be holding a focus group to gather feedback on Tuesday, June 23 in the Aspen Rooms from 2-3 p.m. The intent of this space is to provide physical and centralized space for student groups that enhances the CU experience for students from historically underrepresented populations and to provide space for advising staff to support these student groups. We need your feedback on how this space is designed and what it includes.

Make tracks to the CU Museum for summer workshops for children

Each workshop meets for three hours from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday mornings at the CU Museum of Natural History on the CU-Boulder Campus. Healthy snacks will be provided. This year’s theme is “Leaving Your Mark” in conjunction with our new exhibit, Steps in Stone, Walking Through Time. Our topics are sure to engage your children and make an impression on their summer. The fee is $25 per workshop (10% Discount for CU Faculty/Staff/Students' kids). Advance registration and payment required - call, email, or fill out the form on our website.
