Mediating Asia: 2015 CAS Annual Symposium

In this day-long symposium we will explore the implications of an increasingly mediated Asia. There will be keynote addresses by Endy Bayuni of The Jakarta Post, and Melissa Chan of Al Jazeera America, as well as panel discussions with more than 10 scholars and journalists from CU and beyond. Topics of discussion will include “Media and Environmental Politics,” “Authoritarian States, Nationalism, and the Unruly Media,” and “Identity, Culture, and Branding” in the Asian context. Friday, April 17, 10 a.m. British Studies Room, Norlin Library.

Seeking Boulder or Denver area residents and CU students, faculty, staff and alumni Age 65 and older for a CU research project. Planning to live in the Boulder/Denver Area for next six months. Compensation: $300 for six meetings plus a 16-week supervised exercise program. Eligibility: 65 years old or older, not regular exercisers. No non-removable metal in body.
