IT Systems Administrator position in Facilities Management

CU-Boulder's department of Facilities Management is seeking a mid-level, full-time Systems Administrator to join our Information Systems team. As a member of a small team tasked with designing, implementing and maintaining a variety of systems and databases, this hands-on position will help identify and implement the next generation of systems to support the department's diverse services and information requirements. International Coffee Hour

Desire2Learn workshops, Aug. 20-24

Academic Technology is offering an expanded schedule of Desire2Learn (D2L) workshops during the week of Aug. 20-24. The two-part "Getting to Know D2L" workshop offers a guided tour of CU-Boulder's online learning environment and aims to demystify the transition from CULearn to D2L. Additional topic-focused workshops include getting the most out of the D2L Gradebook, using the Quiz tool, and personalizing your D2L course. Program Council brings Ghostland Observatory for 2012 Welcomefest

Get ready to throw down on Farrand Field as the Annual Welcomefest Concert starts off the 2012 Fall semester with a bang (and a beat!) on Saturday, Aug. 25th at 5:30 pm. boldGhostland Observatorybold is this year's headliner, with openers Minnesota, Hoodie Allen and Boulder's own SunSquabi. The Welcomefest Concert is FREE to CU-Boulder students ONLY with a valid BuffOne Card. We strongly encourage everyone to pick up a wristband early, starting at 12 pm at the Northeast Gate of Farrand Field on the 25th. Then no long lines for you!

Property Services replacing classroom chairs Aug. 14–24

August 14-24 Property Services will be replacing classroom chairs on campus. During this time we will not be doing furniture deliveries, moves or disposals. Though this may not take 10 days, we do need to make sure we scheduled enough time to complete this task. Please continue entering all moves and disposals as we will resume our normal job functions as soon as we are done. Thank you for your understanding.

ACCESS training begins Aug. 24

ACCESS registration for nondegree students begins on Friday, Aug. 24. CAS Event: Letters and Epistolary Culture in China

Epistolary communication, literature, and culture have been crucial elements of Chinese social life for more than two thousand years. This workshop will bring together twenty scholars working in fields as diverse as literature, archaeology and history and provide an opportunity for them to present and discuss their research.
