Election Day on-campus voting

The Boulder County Clerk & Recorder has a Voter Service and Polling Center located on campus at the CU Recreation Center. The Voter Service and Polling Center will be open 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, and 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, Election Day.

Performance Friday!

The Center for Humanities and the Arts invites you to this month’s Performance Friday! featuring Erika Randall (associate professor of dance, choreographer, and filmmaker) and Markas Henry (associate professor of theatre and head of design) of the Department of Theatre and Dance. Randall and Henry will co-present their new screendance piece, “Less,” a lush and melancholic work of memory and forgetting. Please join us Nov. 14, 12 - 1 p.m., on Norlin Library's 5th Floor. Camp Kesem CU-Boulder fall meeting

Are you interested in helping families affected by cancer? Come find out about Camp Kesem- a week-long, free, entirely student-run summer camp for children who have or have had a parent with cancer. Exhibit opening and family day - 'Steps in Stone: Walking Through Time'

Steps in Stone: Walking Through Time is a new exhibition that features real fossil tracks and trackways from the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History collections. Interactive elements invite children and adults alike to explore how animals moved across the earth, how their tracks became fossils, and how we study tracks to learn more about ancient landscapes and animals. The museum is hosting a free family day for children and adults to explore and learn about fossil tracks. Saturday | Nov. 15 | 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

AIA lecture series: Architecture and assemblage at the site of Polis-Chrysochous on Cyprus

This talk will address the ongoing work at the site of Polis-Chrysochous (ancient Arsinoë) on the western side of Cyprus. The research team has worked to document the architecture of an early Christian basilica and an assemblage of late Roman ceramics in order to establish connections between this and other sites. The history of fieldwork on Cyprus becomes clear as it provides an unparalleled opportunity to analyze the material culture of related sites in the ancient world. 'Title IX and the Progression of Girls and Women in Athletics over the Last 50 Years'

Ceal Barry will discuss how a significant piece of legislation, Title IX, passed in 1972, has impacted American men and women culturally, professionally, and socially. This Diversity Summit presentation will focus on the impact of Title IX on girls and women and their participation in athletics in public schools and universities. The presentation will briefly touch on recent references to Title IX complaints as it relates to sexual harassment and sexual assaults on American college campuses. Celebrating Ethnic Studies at CU: Twenty years in the making

Ethnic Studies celebrates 20 years of building the program on the CU-Boulder campus and the inaugural year of the Ph.D. in Comparative Ethnic Studies. CU is only the fourth university in the country to offer an Ethnic Studies doctoral program and the only one east of the Pacific Coast. Carlos Windham, one of the founders of the Student Coalition for Advancement and Ethnic Plurality, will join us to reflect on the events of 1994 that led to the establishment of Ethnic Studies on the Boulder campus. 'Rotting Bodies: The Clash of Stances toward Materiality and its Ethical Affordances'

The Department of Anthropology is pleased to invite the campus community to a public talk by Professor Webb Keane, of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Professor Keane will present new research on the intersection of material and immaterial spirituality in Eastern Orthodox Christianity through the question of relics and icons. The talk will occur on Friday, Nov. 7, 4 p.m. in Hale 230.
