Sugar Free Feminism: Native Voices

Come join the Women's Resource Center this holiday season to learn about the lives of Native women. Take a look at Thanksgiving from a Native perspective and learn about what it means to be a Native woman and a feminist. This is a great opportunity to look at history from a different perspective and to expand your own world view, so make sure to stop by. Monday, Nov. 17, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in Hellems 177.

CU Book Store open house and holiday sale

The 17th annual CU Book Store Open House, is Thursday, Dec. 4, 12-3 p.m. Come enjoy refreshments, decorate your own sugar cookie and make an ornament. Makers Collective first meeting

The Makers Collective's purpose is to bridge the gap between arts and sciences by bringing people from all backgrounds and experience levels to collaborate. We aim to serve the community through workshops and projects that teach various skills including, but not limited to: physical computing, interaction design, lighting design, programming, and building/fabrication. Our first meeting will be held Nov. 11, 5 p.m. in ENVD 234. Free pizza.

Advance screening: 'Dumb & Dumber To'

Program Council’s Film Series presents the advance screening of "Dumb & Dumber 2." When: Nov. 12, at 9 p.m. Where: Chem 140 Lecture Hall This event is free, but requires a ticket: Each ticket admits two but does not guarantee you a seat. Calling all undergraduates: Enroll now in EDUC/INVS 2919

Interested in empowering youth while earning academic credit? If yes, contact verveer@colorado.edu to register for EDUC/INVS 2919: Renewing Democracy in Communities and Schools. A practicum course, EDUC/INVS 2919 invites undergraduates to work alongside K-12 students as they identify and address salient community issues. The course, which fulfills the Human Diversity core requirement and may be applied toward the Education minor, will meet on campus on Mondays from 1-2:30 p.m. or 2:55-4:25 p.m., and once weekly at a partnering K-12 school.
