Ceal Barry will discuss how a significant piece of legislation, Title IX, passed in 1972, has impacted American men and women culturally, professionally, and socially. This Diversity Summit presentation will focus on the impact of Title IX on girls and women and their participation in athletics in public schools and universities. The presentation will briefly touch on recent references to Title IX complaints as it relates to sexual harassment and sexual assaults on American college campuses.
