All-new late-start Spanish 2: Mid-July through mid-August

This class builds upon the basic knowledge and skills acquired in Level 1. Material to be reviewed: the present tense, irregular verbs and "me gusta", ser and estar. Hindi returns to ALTEC

Want to travel to India in the near future? In this 5-week course, you will learn basic Hindi conversational skills in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. You will learn how to introduce yourself, how to find your way (google maps don't work so well in India!) and be able to order food in a restaurant. You will also learn about Indian culture, Bollywood, Indian food and festivals. The goal is to feel comfortable with the language and have fun with it. Register

Summer workshops for kids at the CU Museum

There are still spots available to sign your children up for workshops at the CU Museum of Natural History on Friday mornings! Our newest exhibit Becoming Butterflies will be our jumping-off point to cross-pollinate science and art. Your elementary-age child will visit exhibits, participate in hands-on creative activities with real museum tools and specimens, and move through natural areas outside of the museum. Each workshop meets for three hours from 9 a.m. - noon. Advance registration required.

Late summer non-credit language courses

Research opportunity for first-time mothers

Researchers in CU’s Department of Psychology and Neuroscience are recruiting women who are currently pregnant with their first child to participate in a paid study of their experiences of pregnancy and birth.

Fun research projects for kids

The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children age birth to 12 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about self control and cognitive strategies. A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 60 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel and kids receive a fun prize. This is a special schedule 3-credit Grad course (Upper Division with permission) associated with ISSS-2016, the 60th conference of the International Society for the Systems Sciences.
