The Pulse is a dynamic group of bi-partisan student leaders committed to making the University of Colorado Boulder a more engaged, safe, and diverse campus. But, what if everything around you seems to be the same yet nothing feels the quite like it used to? Or what if you are still on the Study Abroad high and it’s hard to get your footing again at CU? Global Seminar Shakespeare On-Site

Students can spend three weeks studying Shakespeare’s work on site – in London! The course fulfills UD Literature & Arts Core (three credits). They'll experience Shakespeare’s plays in the context of their first performances and see some live at the Globe Theater. This program is directed by David Glimp and includes field trips to sites such as Windsor Castle and Shakespeare’s hometown. Interest meeting - Monday, Oct. 8, 5-6 pm in UMC 245.

Global Seminar: Conservation & Indigenous Peoples in Tanzania

Students will explore remote conservation areas around the Serengeti on this traveling Global Seminar in Maymester. Learn more about indigenous peoples and conservation in one of the most beautiful and biologically-important regions of the world, study political ecology, culture and development while living amongst indigenous groups such as the Maasai and Hadzabe people. Open to all majors. Informational meeting with the Director, Laura DeLuca: Thursday, Oct.25, 5-6pm, C4C S341.

Global Seminar: Film in Rome

Students can spend three weeks in May and June studying film, art, and culture in Rome. All majors can apply and receive 3 UD credits. Course also fulfills UD Literature & Arts core. Program led by Film Studies professor, Suranjan Ganguly(ganguly@colorado.edu). Film screenings and lectures are combined with excursions in & around Rome.
