Fun research projects for kids

The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children age birth to 14 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about memory and language development. A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 30 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel and kids receive a fun prize.

Engineering Career Peer Advisor

CU-Boulder Career Services is seeking applications from undergraduate engineering students interested in serving in a leadership role as a Peer Career Advisor (PCA). The position has a start date of August 19 to provide training before the fall semester starts. This position pays $9.75/hr and works 8-15 hrs/week. Hmong Culture Night: Stories of our roots

The Hmong Culture Night is a fun-filled night to explore the Hmong culture as well as the story of the Hmong and how they came to be today. The night will feature special guest speaker, Dr. Chia Youyee Vang from the Univerisity of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, and guest performance by rap artist Tou Saiko Lee. Free dinner will be provided. Miramontes Women in Art Festival: Women and Film Event

Come to the Miramontes Women in Art Festival: Women and Film Event on Friday April 12, from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Dennis Small Cultural Center (UMC 457). This event is part of the annual Miramontes Women in Art Festival. The Dennis Small Cultural Center and the Women's Resource Center have organized a series of short films by CU women filmmakers and we will be screening their digital shorts. The filmmakers will briefly talk about their experience making the films and the inspiration behind their ideas.

Reading Club: 'The Rose Garden,' Tuesday, April 16

Rumi Club invites you to its Reading Club to read and discuss "The Rose Garden" (Gulistan) by Saadi Shirazi on Tuesday, April 16, from 5:30-6:15 p.m. in C4C N320 student lounge. "The Rose Garden" is a landmark of Persian literature, perhaps its single most influential work of prose for 700 years. Voltaire, Goethe, Arnold, Longfellow, Emerson, Thoreau, Melville, Franklin and many others discovered, read, and took inspiration from it. We will provide free Turkish tea and snacks.
