Designed by Nature: A Fashion Show

Support CU student designers and models! Come to the Fashion Design Student Association's nature-inspired spring fashion show. The show will take place on April 26 at 7 p.m. in Duane G1B30. Free and open to the public.

Please join us for a public lecture by Dr. Amy Collier, Stanford University: A Balancing Act: Leveraging Digital Learning Initiatives to Improve the Academy. This free event is part of the Teaching with Technology Symposium to celebrate faculty across campus who have engaged in efforts to achieve excellence in teaching with technology. Learn to make biodiesel

Learn how to make your own biodiesel with the CU Biodiesel Club on Wednesday, April 17, from 5-7 p.m. in Ekeley M1B73. Find out how waste vegetable oil can be turned into a renewable and sustainable fuel source. Pizza will be served. Reserve your spot.

Museum Family Day: Awesome Arctic

The Arctic is a cold and wondrous place. Learn about the people and animals that call this snow and ice world home. Explore how you are connected to the animals, cultures and environment of the Arctic. This special family day is co-sponsored by the Consulate General of Canada, and will include participation by the Colorado Ocean Coalition and other local organizations that care about our Arctic connections.

Participants ages 12-21 needed for CU-Boulder research study

Earn $25 for participation in a 2-hour study. The Adolescent Development and Preventive Treatment (ADAPT) research program is looking for individuals to participate in a study of mental health and adolescent development. Potential invitation to attend three additional annual time points at 6-7 hours each ($25 per hour for these). If interested, please call the ADAPT at (303) 492-4616. A confidential phone screen will be conducted to determine your child’s or your own initial eligibility.

Overcoming Obstacles - Patrick Ireland Northwestern Mutual - April 24th

This month’s Startup CU meeting will feature two student pitches and a lesson in how to overcome obstacles from Patrick Ireland. Patrick is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has had the opportunity to share his story of overcoming challenges as a survivor of the 1999 Columbine High School shootings to a variety of youth and business organizations. Italian Film Festival

Come spend an evening in Italy! Enjoy six recent, critically acclaimed Italian films at the 2013 Italian Film Festival USA of Boulder. In collaboration with the University of Colorado President's Fund for Humanities and sponsored by the French and Italian Dept., all films, open and free to the general public, will be shown in Italian with English subtitles at two venues: CU Boulder Humanities building and Boulder HS auditorium. April 21-26, 2013.

Center of the American West Internships Program - Seeking interns for Fall 2013

CU-Boulder students seeking internships for Fall 2013 should visit the Center of the American West Internship Program website. We offer for-credit internships with off-campus employers, and are now accepting applications for the Fall 2013 semester. Current positions include The Nature Conservancy and History Colorado museum.
