The IPA Lab needs volunteers for a study on the effects of Trehalose, a naturally occurring sugar, on vascular health. Vanpooling lunch and learn

Subjects needed for passive cycling study $160

The Applied Exercise Science Lab is seeking sedentary male subjects aged 18-55 to study passive cycling (involves a stationary bicycle with a motor rotating the bicycle pedals for you). The experiment will consist of four separate sessions each lasting 4hrs. Benefits of participating include: body composition (% body fat), fitness assessment, bone density, glucose tolerance assessment and determination of caloric expenditure. Yoga intensive program June 10-21

A two-week intensive for all levels of yoga students. Expand your knowledge, embrace the challenge of a rigorous asana based practice, and develop awareness through yoga. Plan to open the body through movement, dive into breath work and explore the history and diversity of yoga. Also included, ways to improve in all aspects of life, both on and off the mat. Learn a language!

Learn a language! The Anderson Language Technology Center (ALTEC) is pleased to announce registration is now open for summer language classes. These classes are non-credit and are open to CU staff, faculty, graduate students, retirees and their spouses, as well as the Boulder community. Classes begin June 10 and meet twice a week for 5 weeks. Tuition is $75 for CU affiliates, and $150 for community members. This spring choose from various levels of French, German, Italian, and Spanish as well as Latin American Culture.

Fun research projects for kids

The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children from birth to 14 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about memory and language development. A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 30 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel and kids receive a fun prize.

Midnight Breakfast, free for all CU students!

The countdown to finals has begun, which means that Midnight Breakfast is almost here! Join us at the UMC on Monday, May 6 for a FREE breakfast, including vegetarian and vegan options! Breakfast will be served at 11:59 p.m., but come early at 9:30 p.m. for some free activities such as bowling and pool in the Connection, masquerade mask making, a photo booth, mini ballroom dance classes, prize drawings, and chair massages!
