Healing Touch Mini-Sessions at UMC

The Healing Journey Student Group will be at the UMC this summer Fridays from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. Come visit our table and receive a relaxing and invigorating 10 minute session of energy healing through light touch-- perfect ending to the week! Our table is located inside the UMC next to the Alfred Packer Grill. Also, for anyone interested in learning to give Healing Touch sessions, there is a free introductory class Tuesday June 11 where we will be learning Healing Touch technique.

The Healing Journey Student Group: Intro class to healing

The Healing Journey Student Group is sponsoring an introductory class to Healing Touch practice Tuesday June 11, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in HUMN 190. Healing Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners consciously use their hands with intentionality to influence the human energy system in a positive way. Nicole Kasemir, RN, HTCP/I will teach the Healing Touch Program Scudder Technique and talk about research related to natural energy healing. Kathryn DeSouchet, HTPA, MSW will co-teach and explain adaptions for The Healing Journey SG.

Our Mathematical Universe by Max Tegmark

With a cosmic flight simulator, we take a scenic journey through space and time. After exploring our local Galactic neighborhood, we travel back 13.8 billion years to explore our Big Bang then zoom into the microworld of the Higgs Boson. Then we turn to an uncanny mathematical description of our universe on both the largest and the smallest scales, and explore controversial ideas of parallel universes. In the year since the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) dramatically announced the discovery of a new particle, the high-energy physics world has been all abuzz. All indications are that the newcomer is a Higgs Boson, a particle at the heart of mass in our universe. Elizabeth Simmons, a particle physicist who studies the origin of mass will put the Higgs search in context, explain the new results, and discuss the implications for particle physics... and beyond. DrupalCamp Colorado 2013 at CU-Boulder!

DrupalCamp Colorado is an annual gathering of people learning and discussing the open-source content management system, Drupal. UCPD fingerprinting closure

The University of Colorado Police Department Records Section will not be providing applicant fingerprinting services on Friday, June 7. Records will remain open for other routine business on that date. Regular fingerprinting hours will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, June 11. Applicant fingerprinting may be provided by other area law enforcement agencies. Please contact local agencies directly for hours, costs and restrictions.

Participants needed for research study at University of Colorado Boulder ages 12-21

Earn $25 for participation in a 2-hour study The Adolescent Development and Preventive Treatment (ADAPT) research program is looking for individuals to participate in a study of mental health and adolescent development. Potential invitation to attend 3 additional annual time points at 6-7 hours each ($25 per hour for these). If interested, please call the ADAPT at (303) 492-4616. A confidential phone screen will be conducted to determine your child’s or your own initial eligibility.

Participants needed for research study at University of Colorado Boulder ages 12-21

Research Participants ages 12-21 needed ADAPT is a place for young people ages 12-21 who are worried about experiencing unusual thoughts, suspiciousness or paranoia, or seeing or hearing things that are not there. Earn $25 for participating in a short screening interview. You may be invited to participate in a 2-year longitudinal study ($25 per hour for 7-9 hours each year).
