Internships for Fall 2013 - Center of the American West internship program

Fall 2013 internships for CU juniors & seniors are available through the Center of the American West Internship Program. We are now accepting applications for positions at The Nature Conservancy, History Colorado Museum and the Thorne Nature Experience. Interns must register for 3 academic credit hours and complete academic assignments in addition to 120 on-the-job work hours. Applications are due by noon on Friday, Aug. 30. Participate in paid psychology experiments

Our lab in the CU-Boulder department of psychology is looking for participants for multiple experiments about human learning, memory, perception, and language. Participants will be paid for their participation. You must be 18-29 years old and right handed to participate. If you are eligible to participate and interested, please visit psych.colorado.edu/~tclab/signup.html for more information and to sign up for our experiments.

CU Book Store - special hours

The CU Book Store has extended hours to help you purchase your textbooks and supplies. Still in the UMC, on campus for your convenience. Don’t forget you can also shop online at www.cubookstore.com and pick your books up in the store or have them shipped. Saturday 8/24- Sunday 8/25- 9:00 – 7:00; Monday 8/26- Tuesday 8/27 7:30- 9:00; Wednesday, August 28 7:30-8:00; Thursday, 8/29 8:00-7:00. We will also be open Labor Day weekend Friday- Monday.

Gilman Scholarship information session

The Qi Shu Fang Peking Opera Company Residency

On Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. in the University Theatre, the Qi Shu Fang Peking Opera Company will be giving a public performance. Founded in 1987 by Qi Shu Fang, the Qi Shu Fang Peking Opera Company is dedicated to the preservation and performance of the Chinese theatrical tradition, Peking Opera. This public performance program includes "Ribbon Dance," "Fighting in the Dark," "Art of Face Mask Changing," and "Monkey King & Princess Iron Fan." This event is free and open to the public.

Volunteer for an all-women's cycling ride

Venus de Miles is a lot of things – a celebration of sisterhood, support for Greenhouse Scholars, and crazy fun – but one thing it’s not is a race. Join us September 29, 2013, for our sixth year – it’ll be bigger, better, and more inspiring than ever. Volunteers receive a t-shirt, cocktail lounge admittance (over 21 of course), gourmet lunch, and our endless gratitude. Participants needed for research study at University of Colorado at Boulder ages 12-21

Earn $25 for participation in a 2-hour study The Adolescent Development and Preventive Treatment (ADAPT) research program is looking for individuals to participate in a study of mental health and adolescent development. Potential invitation to attend 3 additional annual time points at 6-7 hours each ($25 per hour for these). If interested, please call the ADAPT at (303) 492-4616.
