International Mars Society Convention

The Mars Society will convene the 16th Annual International Mars Society Convention on the campus of the University of Colorado Boulder from Aug. 15-18, 2013. The annual four-day event convenes key experts, scientists, journalists and policymakers to discuss the latest news on Mars exploration and efforts to promote a humans-to-Mars mission in the coming years.

CU Children's Center now enrolling 4 year-olds

The CU Children's Center has openings in our Pre-K classroom this fall. Join our high quality, diverse, nationally accredited program. The center is open to children of university affiliates (faculty, staff, students, and alumni). We are also accepting applications for future semesters for children ages 15 months to 5 years. Shakespeare classes for kids and teens

The Colorado Shakespeare Festival offers classes for kids and teens throughout the school year, and registration is underway for fall classes, starting in mid-September. Offerings include CLOWNING IN SHAKESPEARE (ages 12-18), IMPROV SHAKESPEARE (ages 10-18) and SHAKESPEARE'S COMEDIES (ages 8-12). All classes are held at Wesley Chapel, and run for 10 weeks. ACCESS registration for nondegree students begins Aug. 23

Nondegree students interested in enrolling in CU-Boulder courses for personal or professional development can register through ACCESS, Available Credit Courses for Eligible Special Students, beginning Friday, Aug. 23. Nondegree students may take regular, daytime graduate and undergraduate courses if space is available or with instructor/department permission. Participants needed for research at University of Colorado ages 12-21

Earn $25 for participation in a 2-hour study. The Adolescent Development and Preventive Treatment (ADAPT) research program is looking for individuals to participate in a study of mental health and adolescent development. Potential invitation to attend three additional annual time points at 6-7 hours each ($25 per hour for these). If interested, please call the ADAPT at (303) 492-4616. A confidential phone screen will be conducted to determine your child’s or your own initial eligibility.
