Summer Session Info Fair on March 10

Discover what Summer Session has to offer at the Summer Session Info Fair, Monday, March 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the UMC Gallery. At the fair, you can talk with an advisor and explore your options. Advisors representing all the colleges and schools will be present. You will learn about unique summer offerings, including Maymester, online courses, and summer-exclusive courses taught by distinguished visiting faculty. Free pizza, bookstore giftcard drawings, and giveaways provided!

Pi Day

This Pi Day, celebrate women in the STEM fields. Being a woman in male-dominated areas is not easy—come talk with woman identified professors, researchers and grad students to hear their stories, their challenges, their strategies, their victories and what they’ve done to support other women in their areas of study. Join us on Friday, March 14, from 12-1 p.m. in the Dennis Small Cultural Center, UMC 457. Be there or be squared.

Crafternoon - Sashes for change: Committing to activism in your community

Join the CU Women’s Resource Center for an afternoon dedicated to crafts and self-care. Commit to bringing about change in your community by decorating a sash to promote your individual cause. Using Qualtrics Survey Tools for Teaching and Research Need to gather info. from a large group without paper response forms? We will demonstrate the use of Qualtrics, a powerful online survey suite available free to CU faculty, staff and students. Qualtrics is an internet-based tool to create and deploy surveys via website links or email. Use a wide range of question types, collect & track detailed data and analyze data with built-in reporting tools, all via a browser interface. Wed, March 5, noon in N285 Music Library.

If You Build It, They Will Come: Engineering Building Codes and Standards, March 6

We will show how to turn code and standard anecdotes into concrete sources and how to research, as when an obscure item has been mentioned in passing. But even better, learn methods to proactively seek codes and standards for your vision without waiting for serendipity. We will show you how to find standards and codes that you've heard about from colleagues as well as those that your professional peers haven't told you about. CU Buffoons spring concert

Come join us for the CU BUFFoons spring concert. We will be moving to a bigger venue this year to accommodate the needs of a larger audience. Come fill the seats of Humanities 1B50 with us on Friday, March 14. Get there early to save your seats. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m. Our performances are always free, but donations will be accepted for a music education charity. We hope to see you there.
