Improve your transportation system and win $25

The university is conducting a five min. transportation survey of all students where the results will be used to help improve transportation systems on campus. Midnight Breakfast, Monday, May 5

It's almost finals time again, and you know what that means.... Free breakfast at midnight. This semester, Midnight Breakfast will be on Monday, May 5. Breakfast will be served at 11:59 p.m. Starting at 9:30 p.m.: Community Health will offer free massages and the "Study Lounge" (UMC 235) will be open with a tea bar courtesy of Celestial Seasonings. All other free activities begin at 10 p.m.: Photo booth, cotton candy, circus games, animal cracker decorating, bowling and billiards and more.

Denim Days April 22

2 - 3:15 p.m. in Woodruff Cottage. Violence prevention educators from local nonprofits Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA) and Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) will discuss the facts and dynamics of sexual assault in our community, correcting myths as they go. You will also learn about volunteer opportunities in prevention and counseling. *The Gender Justice League will also have a Denim Display Tuesday at the Woodruff Cottage

Sexpressions!

Join us for a night of fun, food and entertainment at our most popular event of the semester. Sexpressions is a talent showcase, celebrating the different ways of expressing positive women’s sexuality, hosted by the CU Women’s Resource Center as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Please join us for this event on Friday, April 25, at the Absinthe House in Boulder. The show will start at 5:30 p.m. This event is open to people of all identities from the public and CU community.

Free 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' screening April 23

It’s just a jump to the left… and then a step to the right. Put your hands on your hips and join the Women’s Resource Center for a screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" on Wednesday, April 23, from 5:30-8 p.m. in Atlas 100. Feel free to dress up and come ready to dance, eat food and enjoy a free movie. We hope to see you there as we enjoy this cult classic together. Students, staff and faculty are all welcome.

Sugar free feminism: Alternative masculinities

Join the Women’s Resource Center and the Gender Justice League as we analyze media representations of alternative masculinity in action, while discussing its productive potential in re-writing oppressive conditions for marginalized groups. There is power in being an ally and working together as a community to affect change, rather than for our selves only. Come view the gallery and participate in this panel discussion on Wednesday, April 23, from 2:30 - 4 p.m. in the Hazel Gates Woodruff Cottage.

Italian theatre performance

The Italian theatre class invites you to its annual performance in Italian: "Le disgrazie di Pulcinella" (The Misadventures of Pulcinella). Written by the students, based on a scenario of the Casamarciano Collection. The play, in two acts, follows the theatre form of the 19th c. Italian farce, featuring Pulcinella, one of the characters of "Commedia dell'Arte." Free admission. Enjoyable also for the non-Italian audience. Refreshments available after the shows. Old Main Chapel, Saturday, April 26, at 7 p.m.; Sunday, April 27, at 4 p.m.

Study ecology and evolution in the Galápagos Islands - Global seminar study abroad program

There's still time to apply to study ecology and conservation in one of the most biologically diverse locations on the planet: The Galápagos Islands. Obtain hands-on experience in principles and practice of ecology and conservation biology. Also included is a visit to the Bellavista Cloud Forest, a rare and endangered ecosystem in Ecuador. Earn three EBIO credits with course hours in the fall and then on-site next winter break. Application deadline: July 1. More information.
