Fun summer job opportunity on campus

Looking for an unforgettable summer job? Summer Study is looking for energetic, outgoing staff to mentor, teach and coach high school students this summer for 3 - 5 weeks. Juniors, seniors, graduate students, faculty and alumni are welcome to apply. Compensation includes salary, room, board and expenses. Backcountry skiing and mountaineering presentation

The CU Backcountry Club is hosting a presentation by Fritz Sperry, the author of "Making Turns in the Tenmile-Mosquito Range" guide book. He will discuss spring skiing and safety. He also will sign copies of his book after the presentation. The Backcountry Club will provide snacks 15 minutes before the presentation. Italian Film Festival 2014

Come spend an evening in Italy. Enjoy the local premiere of three recent, critically acclaimed Italian films at the 2014 Italian Film Festival USA of Boulder. All films shown in Italian with English subtitles, on the campus of the University of Colorado Boulder. "La Prima Neve" (First Snowfall) April 18, 6 p.m., ATLAS 100; "Teorema Venezia" (The Venice Syndrome) April 21, 6 p.m., ATLAS 100; "Viva La Liberta" (Long Live Freedom) April 22, 6 p.m., HUMN 250. Midnight Breakfast: Call for CU-Boulder faculty & staff volunteers

Midnight Breakfast is a free event for all students, meant to allow them a short, relaxing break from studying for final exams. In order to make this event happen, we need help from our wonderful university staff to volunteer to assist in serving breakfast to almost 1,000 CU students. Journal Twenty Twenty launch event

All members of the Boulder community are invited to attend and celebrate excellent writing put forth by the undergraduate community at CU-Boulder. Journal Twenty Twenty, a CU student-run creative nonfiction journal, is launching its Spring 2014 print issue on Friday, April 11, at 7 pm. at Boulder Bookstore. The event will highlight our writers and staff, as well as feature winners of the Program for Writing and Rhetoric Creative Nonfiction Awards. Food and beverages will be provided. Come join the Women’s Resource Center and Boulder Food Rescue for a talk on the industry of food and its intersections with capitalism. What does food waste look like in this country? UROP-HHMI Poster Symposium

The Biological Sciences Initiative (BSI) is sponsoring a poster symposium of UROP-HHMI grant recipients. Please come by and view their research work. Students represent several departments including IPHY, EBIO, MCDB, neuroscience, biochemistry and chemical and biological engineering. The symposium will be on Monday, April 28, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in UMC 235. Light refreshments will be served.
