Calling all CU-Boulder undergraduates: Enroll now in EDUC/INVS2919

Interested in empowering youth while earning academic credit? If yes, contact verveer@colorado.edu to register for EDUC/INVS 2919: Renewing Democracy in Communities and Schools. A practicum course, EDUC/INVS 2919 invites undergraduates to work alongside K-12 students who identify and address salient community issues. Course approved for Education Minor and AmeriCorps Scholarship program. Meets Human Diversity Core. Course meets Mondays at either 1 - 2:30 p.m. or 2:55 - 4:25 p.m., as well as once weekly at a local middle or high school.

CUPD records closed Wednesday morning April 9

The CUPD records section will be closed from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. for training on Wednesday, April 9. Normal afternoon business hours will resume from 1 - 5 p.m. and fingerprinting from 3 - 4 p.m. will occur as usual.

Paid research opportunity for office workers

We are conducting a research study on office environments and are looking for participants ages 18 – 80 who have worked in an office workplace outside of the home. Noninvasive heart rate and skin conductance measures will be recorded. Participants will be asked about drug use and medications. Earn $40 for participating in a single two-hour session held at Workplace Resource located at 1899 Wynkoop St., Denver, CO 80202. Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Fun summer job on campus teaching and mentoring high school students

Looking for an unforgettable summer job? Summer Study is looking for energetic, outgoing staff to mentor, teach and coach high school students this summer for 3 - 5 weeks. Juniors, seniors, grad students, faculty and alumni are welcome to apply. Compensation includes salary, room, board and expenses. Students, faculty, staff and the general public are all encouraged to come listen, participate and interact with our distinguished keynote speakers and to hear talks given by graduate students in philosophy from around the country. Accepting Nominations for the Tito Torres Award

Know a student who has demonstrated passion for and commitment to social justice? The Chancellor’s Standing Committee on GLBTQ Issues welcomes nominations for the 2014 Tito Torres Award, given annually to a student at CU who exemplifies the spirit of Tito Torres. Torres, as a CU student, impacted many through his commitment to and work toward social justice and uplifted many. Lavender Graduation May 6
