How about a course taught through the LGBT Certificate. Introducing: HEBR 3202/JWST 3202 Women, Gender & Sexuality in Jewish Texts & Traditions. M-F 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Read some of the ways Jewish texts and traditions look at women, gender and sexuality from biblical times to the present. Starts with an analysis of the positioning of the body, matter and gender in creation stories, moves on to the gendered aspects of tales of rescue and sacrifice, among many other topics. Approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: human diversity.

Maymester figure painting course

ARTS 2202-001, May 13-31, Term M, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Friday Two weeks of intensive figure painting in a serious and professional context. Learn some of the fundamentals of observational painting by painting from live models. Look at contemporary figure painting as well as historical examples. Introducing: SOCY 1016/WMST 1016 Sex, Gender and Society Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. This course examines status and power differences between the sexes at individual and societal levels. Emphasizes historical context of gender roles and status, reviews major theories of gender stratification. Same as WMST 1016. Approved for GT-SS3. Approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: human diversity.

Monday - Friday, 9 -12 p.m. This course investigates the social and historical meanings of racial, gender and sexual identities and their relationship to contemporary lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender communities. Same as WMST 2030. Approved for GT-SS3. Approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: human diversity.

Graduation reminders

You must have regalia to participate in commencement. Undergraduates should purchase regalia at the bookstore, graduate students may rent regalia at Balch Fieldhouse. See the commencement website for details. Please line up in Norlin Quad by 7:45 a.m. for the procession, or come early and enjoy a free breakfast, starting at 7 a.m. CONGRATULATIONS!
