Midnight Breakfast Volunteers Needed!

The UMC’s semi-annual Midnight Breakfast is fast approaching on Monday, Dec. 17. In order to make this event happen, we need help from our wonderful staff to volunteer to assist in preparing and serving breakfast to over a 1,000 CU students. We are looking for volunteers to help serve food to students, beginning at 11:59 pm, and help with food preparation and assembly prior to the breakfast. Submit Your Art!

The Volunteer Resource Center is taking art submissions for Eye Contact, an art and alternate gift shopping event. The theme of this event is “addressing and raising awareness about the issue of modern day slavery” and we encourage all artists to engage in this critical issue and share their art with the community. We are accepting submissions from any medium of art (photography, painting, film, mixed media, drawing, sculpture, etc.)Please e-mail submissions to volunteer@colorado.edu by November 26th.

Spring 2013 Core Course: Introduction to Russian Culture

Learn about Russia in RUSS 2211, Introduction to Russian Culture! This is an exciting and colorful overview of Russian cultural history that helps explain how the Russians of today came to be the way they are. RUSS 2211 belongs in the A&S core category of Historical Context. RUSS 2211 meets MW 1:00 – 1:50 pm.

Wind Uprising: Movie & Panel Discussion

Spring 2013 Core Course: HEBR/JWST 2350. Introduction to Jewish Culture

Come and explore the development of Jewish culture as it moves across the chronological and geographical map of the historic Jewish people with an emphasis on the variety of Jewish ethnicities and their cultural productions. Taught in English. Approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: human diversity, this is also one of the required introductory courses for the Jewish Studies major and minor.
