Center of the American West to Screen Documentary Film about Water

The Center of the American West is pleased to present a screening of Watershed: Exploring a New Water Ethic for the New West, followed by a panel discussion featuring Producer James Redford, as well as prominent Colorado Water experts discussing the Colorado River and its future. Watershed tells the story of the threats to the once-mighty Colorado River and offers solutions for the future of the American West. The screening and discussion will be held Wed, Dec 5, at 6:30pm in Duane Physics, room G1B30. Free and open to the public.

Earn two credits this spring for music lessons

Earn two credit hours this spring with CU-Boulder's Applied Music Program! Group classes include guitar, piano, and hand drum circle. Register your child for Youth Piano Lessons at CU-Boulder

Attention parents: CU-Boulder is now offering piano lessons for youth ages 6 to 17 years old. Through the CU-Boulder Youth Piano Program, youth will learn from experienced, College of Music instructors who are supervised by the CU Piano Pedagogy Chair, Dr. Alejandro Cremaschi. Students train weekly with one-hour or half-hour private lessons or one-hour group class depending on age and experience. Spring 2013 registration has begun. Space is limited. Now hiring temporary help for Spring Back to School!

The CU Book Store is accepting applications for Spring 2013 Back-to-School Temporary Employment. Students who are interested MUST be available to work Jan. 2nd- Feb. 8. Scheduling will be flexible once classes start. Temporary employment could lead to permanent employment. Temporary positions include: cashier, greeter, supplies stocking, textbook floor support, shipping and web orders. Interested students MUST fill out an application. Students can earn 3 credits in 3 weeks this summer while experiencing the world's largest performing arts festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In addition to staying in Scotland’s beautiful capital, students take a tour of the Highlands and a trip to Glasgow. This Global Seminar study abroad program led by Drs. Penelope Cole and Daniel Jones includes visits to the Edinburgh Castle, Scottish Parliament, and more. Learn more at a meeting with the directors!
