Queer Sex Ed

Let's talk about ~queer~ sex. CU Boulder's Gay Straight Alliance is hosting its annual event Queer Sex Ed! It will start with a presentation by Health Promotion, then a Q&A with a student panel, and will finish with a presentation about sex toys. International Archaeology Day: Eating Archaeology

Oct. 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CU Museum of Natural History Ever since there have been people in Colorado they’ve been hunting, gathering, planting and harvesting. Explore how some of the earliest inhabitants hunted 13,000 years ago. But it wasn’t only about the hunt - roots, nuts, seeds and fruits – even insects, were essential to survival in Colorado’s mountains and plains. We’ll travel through time from past meals to current locavore food production and even into the future as we think about where we might take food next.

Perinatal Emotion and Relationships Longitudinal Study (PEARLS) Researchers in CU’s Department of Psychology and Neuroscience are recruiting women who are currently pregnant with their first child to participate in a paid study of their experiences of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. October's Ethics & Compliance Brown Bag features Clery Compliance

October's monthly series on Monday, Oct. 24, 12 to 1 p.m. in the Rec Center will feature a presentation by Patrick Warwick-Diaz, Clery Compliance and Crime Analyst with the CU Police Department. In his presentation, Warwick-Diaz will cover this history behind the Clery Act, the requirements the law places on our community and what occurs if we are out of compliance. Attendees will also gain insight into their individual responsibilities. Q&A will follow presentation. Attendees are welcome to bring lunch. Light refreshments will be provided.
