Spend your Maymester in China exploring the cultural identity of three China's most famous and historic cities: Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou. Interact with Chinese peers both in and outside the classroom and gain firsthand knowledge on the ways modernity has affected urban China! Study building construction in the beautiful city of Valencia this summer. While earning credit for AREN 2050, you can examine world-renowned architectural works in Spain. A two-day field trip to Barcelona is also included, along with various excursions in and around Valencia. The course counts as a technical elective for many engineering majors. The course fulfills upper-division Literature & the Arts core and counts toward the Italian major and minor. You don't have to know Italian to spend part of your summer studying in Italy.
