International Archaeology Day: Eating Archaeology

Oct. 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CU Museum of Natural History Ever since there have been people in Colorado they’ve been hunting, gathering, planting and harvesting. Explore how some of the earliest inhabitants hunted 13,000 years ago. But it wasn’t only about the hunt - roots, nuts, seeds and fruits – even insects, were essential to survival in Colorado’s mountains and plains. We’ll travel through time from past meals to current locavore food production and even into the future as we think about where we might take food next.
