Unusual thoughts, perceptions, suspiciousness, paranoia?

Research participants ages 12-21 needed. ADAPT is a place for young people ages 12-21 who are worried about experiencing unusual thoughts, suspiciousness or paranoia, or seeing or hearing things that are not there. Earn $25 for participating in a short screening interview. You may be invited to participate in a 2-year longitudinal study ($25 per hour for 7-9 hours each year). Islam and Muslims: Conversations and experiences

Thursday, Oct. 24; 6 p.m. Humanities 180. 1.6 billion Muslims: a well cited statistic that barely scratches the surface. Join Project Nur this Thursday as we begin exploring the vast diversity with which Islamic expression is manifested by Muslims around the world. Free Thai food and refreshments will be provided. Find our table in the UMC this week to submit questions to be answered during the meeting. Project Nur is a student group dedicated to being a voice for religious tolerance and appreciation for religious diversity.

Auditions: The Vagina Monologues 2014

Lovely ladies of the University of Colorado, there will be open casting calls on both Saturday, Nov. 9 & Sunday, Nov. 10 (from noon to 3 p.m. both days) in the University Memorial Center, room 335. We will meet on a first-come, first-served basis. You may audition either day. Please prepare a 3-5 minute piece of your choosing (it does not need to be associated with the Vagina Monologues) to share with me. You do not have to memorize your audition script. I look forward to meeting you.

Fulbright U.S. Scholar workshop for faculty - Nov. 12

Want to teach or do research overseas with funding from a Fulbright grant? Dr. Dawn Odell a Fulbright Ambassador from Lewis and Clark College, and a former Fulbrighter in China, will lead this workshop about U.S. Fulbright Scholar grants (which are for U.S. citizens with PhDs). This workshop, for faculty only, will be offered on Nov. 12, 11:30 - 1:30 in the Center for Community Dining Hall (includes lunch hosted by the Office of International Education - RSVP's are required as space is limited). Post-flood event Oct. 24

Post-flood event: Experiences of a Natural Disaster + Climate Risk Awareness This workshop will provide a space to reflect on our experiences of the flood, to consider risks poised by climate change and an opportunity to talk about what we can do about the dangers associated with more extreme climate related natural disasters. 90th anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic

Turkish Student Association cordially invites you to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic. The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the Eaton HUMN 150 starting at 6:30 p.m. Traditional Turkish appetizers and desserts will be served. Admission is free. Please feel free to bring friends and colleagues, who may be interested in the event.

World Street Food Week with Dining Services
