Researchers in the Psychology and Neuroscience Department are conducting an eight-week research study program designed to help prevent depression, reduce stress and promote health and well-being. Earn up to $225 and get a copy of your MRI on DVD. Participants must be: • Healthy women OR • Women with a history of depression • Ages 18 to 55 • Willing to participate in two MRI assessments and several at-home activities • Smartphone users with a data plan • Have internet access • Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision

Monitoring climate from space: Challenges, opportunities and LASP contributions

In this Dec. 7 talk, LASP Atmospheric Scientist and ATOC Professor Peter Pilewskie will discuss some of the challenges to monitoring climate trends on Earth from space. He will address how accurate measurements need to be to detect trends in climate and attribute them to underlying causes, the limitations of current instruments and new initiatives to develop a robust climate-observing system. Talk is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the LSTB building (rm 299), located at 1234 Innovation Drive on East Campus. Doors open at 7 p.m. Event is FREE!

Alternative Breaks: Applications now open
