In this Dec. 7 talk, LASP Atmospheric Scientist and ATOC Professor Peter Pilewskie will discuss some of the challenges to monitoring climate trends on Earth from space. He will address how accurate measurements need to be to detect trends in climate and attribute them to underlying causes, the limitations of current instruments and new initiatives to develop a robust climate-observing system.
