Participants needed for research study

The University of Colorado Boulder Sleep and Chronobiology Laboratory is looking for healthy men and women, ages 18 to 35, to participate in two laboratory visits of approximately 3.7 days each. Compensation is up to $1,635. Email sleep.study@colorado.edu and ask about the Navy study for details.

Internships at The Nature Conservancy, History Colorado Center and more

Center of the American West is now accepting applications for our spring 2017 internships at History Colorado Center, The Nature Conservancy, National Indian Law Library at Native American Rights Fund and National History Day in Colorado at local public schools. These 3-credit-hour internships require a total of 120 on-the-job hours, plus some academic activities. They will remain open until filled. Visit the Center of the American West website for details.

Professional research assistant position opening

The Integrative Physiology of Aging Lab is seeking a motivated individual for a full-time professional research assistant position. Duties include: Subject recruitment, screening, testing and data management, as well as processing of biological samples using common wetlab techniques. Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree in a biologic science 2. Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under strict time constraints 3. Excellent written and oral communication skills Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.

Sugar Free Feminism Series: Gender and the 2016 election

Join the Women's Resource Center and Professor Celeste Montoya to discuss how gender and intersecting identities including race, class, sexual orientation and ethnicity shape U.S. politics now more than ever. Learn about the role of gender in media coverage of the election, candidate's choices in communication and voter participation in the context of the 2016 presidential election.

CAS Speaker Series: An Asian perspective on international student experience at CU

This event will feature a keynote address, “Reweaving Self: Chinese International Students in American Higher Education,” by Western New England University Psychology Professor Qin Dongxiao, author of the book Crossing Borders: International Women Students in American Higher Education. Professor Qin’s talk will be followed by a panel discussion featuring students, faculty and administration on the campus climate for international students. Light reception to follow. IFS presents: CU at the Movies - 'Deconstructing The Beatles'

If you didn't get enough of The Beatles in our Tuesday showing, come back Wednesday, Nov. 16, as we premiere Deconstructing The Beatles, an amazing look at the songs of the legendary White Album with musicologist Scott Freiman. Women's Water Polo seeking players for spring 2017

The CU Women's Club Water Polo Team is reaching out to all female students taking nine or more credits interested in playing this spring-2017 season. This competitive club team practices five days a week, beginning in January. We ranked second in the Rocky Mountain Division. Our team is competitive, fun and a great way to get involved!
