Family Day at CU Museum of Natural History: Polar opposites

Bring the whole family together to celebrate the winter season. From the polar bears at the North Pole to penguins at the South Pole, the world of opposites will be our inspiration as we create natural history holiday ornaments. Apply to be a Better Boulder service lead

Apply to be a service lead for Better Boulder Day of Service, the volunteer resource center's largest annual event, and choose to lead one of a variety of service projects that focus on different social and environmental issues all across Boulder. South Africa comes to Boulder for World AIDs Day 2016

Join the Gender and Sexuality Center for an AIDs talk entitled "Odds Stacked Against Us." Sister Sheila Flynn, a Dominican sister missioned in South Africa since 1988, and Tozi Precious Mokoba, a South African mother and wife, will be speaking. The talk is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Center for Community (C4C), room 350.

Thompson Awards for Western American Writing: Win $500!

Each year, Center of the American West awards $500 cash prizes to talented CU students writing on Western topics. Categories are poetry, fiction, memoir, creative non-fiction and academic non-fiction. You are welcome to submit material that you wrote for a class assignment, as long as the theme is rooted in any aspect of the American West. And of course, writing something new is good, too!
