ENVS speaker series: Ashwin Ravikumar-CIFOR's Global Comparative Study on REDD+

Friday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. CSTPR Conference Room, 1333 Grandview Ave. Ashwin Ravikumar is a postdoctoral fellowship with the Center for International Forestry Research. (CIFOR). Based out of Lima, Peru, Ravikumar helps to coordinates a module of CIFOR's large multi-module Global Comparative Study on REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation +Enhancing Forest Carbon Stocks) that focuses on multilevel governance, procedural legitimacy and carbon management at the landscape scale.

2014-15 Puksta new scholar applications due Jan. 31

The Puksta Scholars, an exemplary undergraduate civic engagement program, is accepting applications for 2014-15 new scholars. There are a limited number of $4,500 annual scholarships. If you have a strong commitment to civic responsibility and want to bring about positive change in our communities, apply now. CU Money Sense 'Office Hours' for student veterans

CU Money Sense will begin hosting office hours for student veterans in the Office of Veteran Services in the C4C, Room S482. Office hours for this month will be Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 1 - 3 p.m. and will resume every other Tuesday for the spring semester. During this time, students may drop by to ask personal finance-related questions. CU Money Sense is the financial literacy program for CU-Boulder students. Free advanced screening of 'Inside LLewyn Davis' on Dec. 5

Ice, snow, or arctic cold, the International Film Series will be hosting a free advanced screening of "Inside Llewyn Davis," the Cohen brothers' newest film, following a week in the life of a young folk singer as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961.
