Panda Express and Cold Stone Creamery are now open in the UMC

Panda Express and Cold Stone Creamery join food and drink options Subway, Domino's, Celestial Seasonings, Jamba Juice, Alferd Packer Restaurant & Grill and Baby Doe's Coffee & Bakery in the UMC Panda Express hours will be 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Cold Stone Creamery hours will be 10:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and noon - 5 p.m. on Sundays.

LGBTQ Safe Zone Training

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Resource Center will be presenting a Safe Zone Training that will provide education about gender and sexual diversity, how to be an ally to the LGBTQ community, and CU-Boulder-specific LGBTQ policies and services. Panel discussion featuring Professor Ruth Phillips, spring 2014 visiting scholar

On Jan. 22, at 3 p.m., the CU Art Museum will host a panel discussion featuring Professor Ruth Phillips and select CU faculty. The event will take place in the Paleontology Hall of the CU Museum of Natural History. The panel will address issues of repatriation and the indigenization of museums, focusing on how repatriation laws, policies and international conventions misalign with indigenous notions of ownership. The event is free and open to the public. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served.

Critical positions lecture series featuring Professor Ruth Phillips

The CU Art Museum and the Art History Program present an annual lecture series: Critical Positions: Perspectives on Art History, Curatorial Practice, and Art Criticism on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 5 p.m. in the British Studies Room of Norlin Library. Ruth Phillips, Canada research chair and professor of art history at Carleton University, will give a presentation entitled "Monstrances and Wampums: Jesuits, Iroquois and Materializations of the Spiritual in Seventeenth- Century America."

2014-15 Puksta new scholar applications due Jan. 31

The Puksta Scholars, an exemplary undergraduate civic engagement program, is accepting applications for 2014-15 new scholars. There are a limited number of $4,500 annual scholarships, so if you have a strong commitment to civic responsibility and want to bring about positive change in our communities, apply now.
