Students will explore remote conservation areas around the Serengeti on this travelling summer global seminar. Living off campus: Everything first-timers need to know

Learn the basics of living off campus for the first time. Everything from finding the perfect rental in Boulder to managing your money differently to eating healthy on a budget. Learn about leases, neighborhoods, roommate agreements, dividing utility payments, budgeting, cheap nutrition and much more. Child Learning Center

The Child Learning Center (CLC) in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Department has openings in our preschool and toddler group for spring. Preschool is Mon/Wed/Fri from 8:45 a.m. - 12 p.m. and the toddler group is Tues/Thurs from 9 - 11 a.m. A play-based classroom for young children with emphasis on communication and social-emotional development; small class sizes with two teachers (SLPs), an occupational therapist, family resource consultant, and graduate students in speech-language pathology. Spring semester starts Jan. 21.

Continuing Education to offer walk-in advising Jan. 6-17

Continuing Education advisers will accommodate walk-in appointments to start the spring semester. Continuing Education walk-in advising hours will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Jan. 6-17, Monday through Friday, and the financial aid walk-in hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Jan. 13-17. All other Continuing Education advising appointments need to be scheduled in advance and can be arranged online.

CU at the Library: Healthy Brains, Healthy Kids on Jan. 25

Neuroscientists and students from the University of Colorado Boulder Intermountain Neuroimaging Consortium will provide hands-on activities for elementary-aged children to learn about how the brain works, how neuroscientists study the brain, and how kids (and even parents) can help their brains grow stronger and healthier. Join us on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Louisville public library as we decode MRI images, build neurons, act like neurotransmitters, and send eggs on dangerous adventures. Free and open to the public.

CU at the Library: Brain Matters: Life Choices and Brain Research on Jan. 23

Join neuroscientists from the University of Colorado Boulder Intermountain Neuroimaging Consortium for a discussion of brain health at the Louisville public library on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. Researchers will give an overview of the mechanisms by which healthy lifestyle choices affect the brain and will discuss their current research exploring the effects of exercise, stress, alcohol consumption, and meditation on brain structure and function. Free and open to the public.
