FrackingSENSE 2.0: What we know, what we don't know and what we hope to learn

The Center of the American West, in conjunction with the AirWaterGas Sustainability Network and Boulder County are proud to introduce the spring edition of FrackingSENSE 2.0. We encourage our speakers to offer evidence-based findings that might lead to recommendations and prescriptions for the future. Special FrackingSENSE 2.0: with Tim Wirth and Jim Martin

March 10 presents an extraordinary opportunity for a fresh, illuminating and spirited discussion of natural gas development. Timothy Wirth has represented Colorado’s Second District in Congress and served as United States Senator. Formerly a staffer for Timothy Wirth, Jim Martin has been director of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, executive director of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and Environmental Protection Agency administrator of Region VIII. Global seminar St. Petersburg, summer 2014: Interest meeting on Jan. 28

Family therapy for youth with mood problems

The Colorado Family Project, a group of clinicians and researchers at CU, is conducting a study of family-based therapy for youth with mood swings and a family history of bipolar disorder. Treatment focuses on helping youth and their families understand and cope with mood swings, develop plans for preventing moods from getting worse, communicate more effectively and solve family problems. Treatment is free of charge, and families are compensated for participation in regular research interviews.

Democracy & Development in Bolivia - Global Seminar Study Abroad Program

Earn 3 credits in ~2 weeks while studying democracy and development in this off-the-beaten-path South American destination. Bolivian politics are dynamic and innovative.
