Performance Friday!

The Center for Humanities and the Arts invites you to this month’s Performance Friday! featuring Nicolò Spera, assistant professor of classical guitar in the College of Music. Professor Spera will perform "German Poetry: Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suites n. 5&6, on the Ten-String Guitar." Please join us Oct. 17, noon - 1 p.m., in the Center for British and Irish Studies (Norlin Library’s 5th Floor). Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for a free, light lunch.

Buffer Buffalo 5K Nov. 2

The Buffer Buffalo is one of two races put on by the University of Colorado Triathlon Team. All proceeds help the team travel to Regional and National Collegiate races in the spring. Come out and support your 15-time National Collegiate Champions and run a few miles while you're at it. The race takes place on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 9 a.m. on CU's Main Campus. Goody bags will be included. Register today.

Science on Screen: My Life as Indiana Jones — Sort Of

Indiana Jones' job was to fight bad guys, find the treasure, and get the girl. That's Professor Stephen Lekson's job, nine to five. That's a stretch, but elements of the Indiana Jones saga ring true. Some things Jones does are things Lekson does in his work as professor in a sort of watered-down form. Join the Professor Lekson at The Dairy Center where he will present parallels and comment on the Jones saga. The presentation will be followed by a screening of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Diverse Musician's Alliance Diversity Concert Oct. 15

The Diverse Musician's Alliance is hosting their annual Diversity Concert on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in Grusin Music Hall in the Imig Music building, and it is free and open to the public. Hope to see you there.

Poverty Awareness Week Oct. 13-17

The Volunteer Resource Center is hosting Poverty Awareness Week Oct. 13 - 17. Come visit us on Norlin Quad to engage with us about the issue of poverty and donate old cloths to A Precious Child Monday, Oct. 13 – Wednesday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. **. The **Interactive Theatre Project will perform Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the UMC North Dining Hall. Friday the Nearly Naked Mile takes off at the corner of Broadway and University at 8 p.m. Come and donate the cloths off your back and run for a good cause.
