Study building construction in Valencia, Spain

Study building construction in the beautiful city of Valencia this summer.  While earning credit for AREN 2050, you can examine world-renowned architectural works in Spain. A two-day field trip to Barcelona is also included, and all engineering students are guaranteed a $750-$1,500 scholarship. The course counts as a technical elective for most engineering majors. Cyclists and non-cyclists needed for research study

The Applied Exercise Science Lab is seeking 18-35 year-old volunteers: 1) cyclists who train >8 hrs/wk, or 2) non-cyclists who participate in >3 exercise sessions/wk of >30 min totally 2.5-5 hrs/wk. Participants must have been at an altitude similar to Boulder for >3 wks. Activity screening questions will be asked upon inquiry. You will be asked to cycle at submaximal and supramaximal intensities. The study will require 8 hrs: 4 visits, 2 hrs/visit. VO2max, lactate threshold, efficiency and training zone break downs provided.

Spend three weeks studying Virginia Woolf’s work on site – in London. Experience the life and work of Woolf first-hand as you visit important literary sites such as Monk’s House, Charleston, Kew Gardens and Sissinghurst. This program, directed by Jane Garrity, examines the ways that London and its environs impacted Woolf’s vision of the English nation. The State of Satire

The Distinguished Speakers Board is pleased to announce its first event for the year The State of Satire. Megan Amram, Kevin Avery, Aasif Mandvi and Scott Dikkers will be speaking in a joint event on Oct. 6, at CU-Boulder’s Macky Auditorium Concert Hall. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and the event will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for the event will be $2 for CU-Boulder students with a valid Buff OneCard and $10 for community members.
