The Environmental Engineering Seminar Series is pleased to announce a presentation by Kartik Chandran, associate professor at Columbia University and 2015 MacArthur Fellowship “Genius Award” recipient. Chandran will be speaking on his recognized work on the microbial N-cycle and its links to the water, energy and carbon cycles. Dr. Riosmena is a leading researcher on the deterioration of immigrant health with time spent in the U.S. and will discuss the socioeconomic disadvantages, discrimination and legal complications that contribute to health disparities for Latina/o immigrants.
