University of Colorado Boulder Property Services will hold a public auction of surplus property and equipment on Saturday, Jan. 9. Items will be available for preview beginning at 8 a.m. and the auction will begin at 9 a.m. Auctions are held on the east side of: University of Colorado Boulder Distribution Center 3300 Walnut St. Boulder, CO 80301.

Fun Research Projects For Kids

The Cognitive Development Center in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for children age birth to 12 years old who are interested in playing games that will help teach us about memory and language development. A visit, scheduled at your convenience, lasts about 60 minutes. Babysitting is available for siblings. Parents are compensated for travel and kids receive a fun prize. Alternative Breaks participant applications

AIA lecture series: Saint Peter in Rome: A Historian’s Perspective

Join Tyler Lansford on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. at the CU Natural History Museum for this free lecture! During the early Christian centuries, the tradition that the apostle Peter had ministered and died in Rome formed a leading component of Rome's claim to ecclesiastical primacy within the church universal. As early as the second century, the Christian community of Rome identified a site where Peter was believed to be buried: progressively monumentalized, the memorial Petri today lies directly below the high altar of St. Peter's Basilica.
