Deadlines are coming: Apply to spend three weeks in Indonesia this June

Focusing on Culture & Media in Southeast Asia, this program provides the opportunity to learn the ethnographic method and documentary film making onsite. Get hands-on experience in principles and practice of ecology and conservation biology while swimming with sea turtles and hanging out with tortoises. MALfunction #5: Dissent - 1 Researcher & 1 Artist Discuss Technology

MALfunction: A series of events pairing an artist and researcher whose works raise similar questions about technology. FREE & open to the public. #5: Dissent, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. - Museum of Natural History, CU Boulder At MALfunction #5, researcher Jonas Kaiser will present his work on how the internet has shaped far-right discourse. Artist Laleh Mehran will outline the complexities involved in creating artworks that critique dominant political ideologies, and the threat of severe personal ramifications that can emerge.

Got a baby bump? Paid research study for first-time moms

Perinatal Emotion and Relationships Longitudinal Study (PEARLS) Researchers in CU’s Department of Psychology and Neuroscience are recruiting women who are currently pregnant with their first child to participate in a paid study of their experiences of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. CU Boulder Psychology and Neuroscience Department researchers are conducting a study involving an eight-week program designed to help prevent depression, reduce stress and promote health and well-being. Earn up to $190, and get a copy of your MRI on DVD. Participants must be: • Healthy women with no history of depression • Ages 18 to 55 • Willing to participate in two MRI scans • Smartphone users with data plan • Have internet access • Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision

Learn how to become a Ralphie Handler

Are you interested in being a Ralphie Handler next season? Stop by the CU Boulder Recreation Center this Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 4 to 5 p.m. to talk with coaches and current handlers on what it takes to be a part of the greatest tradition in all of college sports.
