ITG comedy and climate change short video competition

1st place: $250 prize ~ 2nd place: $100 ~ 3rd place: $50. Humor is a tool underutilized in climate change; yet comedy has the power to effectively connect people, information, ideas and new ways of thinking. In this call, we seek to harness the powers of climate comedy through compelling, resonant and meaningful short videos. Scholarship reviewers needed

The Scholarship Services within the Office of Financial Aid invites you to participate in the selection of our 2016-17 scholarship recipients. As a volunteer, you will review 20-25 scholarship applications during the week of March 14. Applications will be reviewed online; we will email you the links and instructions before the review period. 2016 CU-Boulder Asian Studies Graduate Association Conference Feb. 20

The University of Colorado Boulder Asian Studies Graduate Association (CUBASGA) Conference is an annual event hosted by CU faculty and graduate students of the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations. This year's keynote speakers will be Professor Ronald Egan, Stanford University, and Professor Adam Kern, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Friday, Feb. 19, 1 to 7 p.m., ATLAS 102, CU-Boulder. Saturday, Feb. 20, 9 a.m to 6 p.m., Eaton Humanities 250, CU-Boulder.

Intersectionality as political imperative

The Graduate Student Speaker Series in Cultural Anthropology is pleased to announce an interdisciplinary panel titled "Intersectionality as Political Imperative." The talk will be held Friday, Feb. 26, 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Hale 230 with a reception to follow. This event is free and open to the public, and includes a variety of feminist and critical race theorists from around campus: Jennifer Fluri (Geography), Kwame Holmes (Ethnic Studies), Celeste Montoya (Women and Gender Studies), Bianca Williams (Ethnic Studies) and Carla Jones (Anthropology).
