Wanted: Research Participants

Researchers at the University of Colorado at Boulder seek right-handed individuals 23-50 years old with no neurological impairment, no current or past major psychiatric disorder, and no metal implants/pacemakers for laboratory and brain imaging (fMRI) studies. Eligible participants will be paid $200 over the course of six weeks, with two fMRI scans, plus opportunities for additional compensation.

COLTT 2012 Keynote Speaker Announced: Dr. Kiki Sanford

Colorado Learning and Teaching With Technology (COLTT) conference welcomes Dr. Kiki Sanford as this year's keynote speaker. Dr. Sanford is a specialist in learning and memory, and the founder and host of the radio show/podcast "This Week in Science." You won't want to miss her, so register for COLTT now! Resource for Staff with Work-Related Problems or Concerns

Working in an environment where there is ongoing, unresolved conflict is stressful and exhausting. If you are experiencing conflict with a peer, within a supervisory relationship, or among those you supervise, contact the Ombuds Office. We provide a safe, confidential setting to discuss your concerns candidly and identify options for addressing them. Free! Spring Tree Walk, 5 pm Tuesday, May 22

Meet at the Museum of Natural History's south entrance at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 and be lead on a delightful spring tree tour with CU Sr. Grounds Specialist Alan Nelson who will share the history of CU's "campus" forest. Originally founded on a treeless plain CU now boasts approximately 5,000 trees and 100 different species, many imported from around the world. FREE! Female Participants: Earn $20 in Study of Teen and Young Adult Social Functioning

We're interested in learning about social functioning in healthy adolescents and young adults. After completing a one-time, two-hour appointment, participants will earn a $20 gift card. Eligible participants: 1) Are females between the ages of 14 and 22 2) Are willing to discuss their social functioning (for example, friendships) 3) Have not been diagnosed with a psychiatric illness

Women, 35-45 yrs: overweight with Type 2 Diabetes Research project examining how fat stored in the muscles affects insulin activity.
