Speak Out! The War on Women

On Friday, Oct. 12, 12 pm at the UMC Fountain, the Women's Resource Center and Advocates for Choice present: Speak Out! The War on Women. Designed to provide a positive alternative voice for women and men to directly address sexism on campus, and in response to numerous misogynistic messages women are experiencing in the larger society. We will host a range of speakers to address these topics. Please join us!

Well Fed: Vegetarianism and Veganism

Come join the Women's Resource Center for a discussion about vegetarianism and veganism. We'll be discussing the health benefits, and how to balance your diet without animal products. Food will be provided! Well Fed will be Friday, Oct. 12, 11 am-12 pm in the Women's Resource Center (UMC 416).

Rumor Has It: Celebrate Title IX’s 40th Anniversary

Join the Women's Resource Center for a discussion on Title IX, which has ensured 40 years of students' equal education and athletic opportunities, regardless of gender. Former CU women's basketball coach Ceal Barry and Leslee Morris, an investigator for the Office of Student Conduct, for the discussion. Rumor Has it will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10, 12:30-1:30 pm in the Women's Resource Center (UMC 416).

Environmental Law Society 5K - Oct. 13

The second annual Race Judicata 5K is on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 9:00 am. The fun run costume party starts and finishes on the South side of Folsom Field (on Colorado Ave. near Ralphie). There will be race prizes, costume prizes, and random drawing prizes. All of the money raised supports ELS's summer scholarship program which funds to students who do low or unpaid internships for non-profit environmental and resource conservation organizations. Noted author to lecture on science and religion

Jean-Michel Cousteau coming to Boulder to discuss marine issues

On Saturday, Oct. 20, the Colorado European Union Center of Excellence, in partnership with Colorado Ocean Coalitition, will host a brunch and seminar “European Marine Issues and Policies and Areas of Collaboration with the United States” featuring Jean-Michel Cousteau and other ocean experts. This opportunity to learn about environmental marine issues and interact with our speakers in an intimate setting will be held at the British Irish Studies Room on the fifth floor of Norlin Library on the CU campus from 11:30 am–1:30 pm.

Join Program Director Albert Alhadeff in a three-week seminar in Florence and Rome, Italy that explores Raphael and Michelangelo and their art. Global Seminar: China Thru TIME Interest Meeting

Interested in participating on a unique Global Seminar in Beijing, conducted by Journalism Professor Meg Moritz?  You will study news accounts of China from TIME magazine and other US and Chinese media while visiting media outlets and universities, and meeting local journalists and students.
